Delaware Farmers Encouraged to Restore and Protect
Land with Conservation Easements
Application cut-off
of March 15 for easement programs in Delaware
Dover, Del., Jan. 23, 2013-
Delaware farmers interested in protecting and restoring their wetlands
or grasslands are encouraged to apply for financial assistance through
the federal Wetlands Reserve Program (WRP) and Grassland Reserve Program
(GRP). Applicants should submit their applications no later than March
15, 2013 to their local USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service
(NRCS) office to be considered for funding in fiscal year 2013. |

Conservation Initiatives

Jan. 18, and Feb. 15 DOVER, Del.,
Nov. 19, 2012—State Conservationist Russell Morgan today announced that
the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) is currently
accepting applications from Delaware farmers on three national
conservation initiatives. The On-Farm Energy, Organic, and Seasonal
High Tunnel initiatives offer producers technical and financial
assistance to address respective resource concerns. |

USDA NRCS Announces Sign-up for Three Conservation
Programs
DOVER, Del., September 19, 2012—
Applications for three extensive conservation programs are being
accepted until October 19, 2012 for funding consideration in FY2013.
Delaware producers are encouraged to sign up for the Environmental
Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), Wildlife Habitat Incentives Program
(WHIP) or Agricultural Management Assistance (AMA) program, which
provide financial and technical assistance to address varying
conservation priorities. |
