Dr. Brenda Korte is a Program Director in the Division of Discovery Science and
Technology at the National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering, National
Institutes of Health. Dr. Korte received her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry in 1996
from the University of Colorado. Her graduate research was focused on materials
chemistry, including work in molecular beam epitaxy and molecular magnetism. From
1996-1998, Dr. Korte worked at Ames Laboratory, a Department of Energy facility,
as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the Metallurgy and Ceramics Division, investigating
