Grissom Marine to be awarded Purple Heart

GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- U.S. Marine Corps Capt. E. Markus Trouerbach, inspector instructor for Detachment 1, Communications Company, Headquarters and Service Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group, will receive a Purple Heart in a special ceremony held 10 a.m. Friday at the Marine Corps Reserve Center here. The Purple Heart is awarded for wounds as result of an act of any opposing armed force, as a result of an international terrorist attack or as a result of military operations while serving as part of a peacekeeping force. Fuels supply Airman graduates NCOLDC

GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- Tech. Sgt. Rodney J. Woudema Sr., 434th Logistics Readiness Squadron fuels supply journeyman, receives his certificate of training after completing an Air Force Reserve Command noncommissioned officer leadership and development course here from Col. Betty Bowen Feb. 17. Sixteen Grissom Airmen went through the 10-day course that combines college level management and leadership instruction with a military practical, experimental and hands-on application.
