The project provides technical assistance, training, equipment and medical products to improve quality and expand the range and coordination of health services:

  • Introduce modern techniques to improve the quality and use of international standards of evidence-based medicine in health system reforms;
  • Improve the management, financing and delivery of health services for treatment of tuberculosis, HIV, and primary health care, including care of children and mothers (in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan only);
  • Improve access to quality public health and primary care, relying on the achievements of USAID's health reform over the past 10 years
  • Assist in the development of public health programs.

This is a regional project in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
