OBJECTIVES/DESCRIPTION OF CLERKSHIP:
General Surgery Clerks will function as "Subinterns", participating actively in all aspects of the General Surgery Service. They will be attached to one of the three general surgery teams and will function under the direct supervision of the team leader and his or her junior residents and interns. Conference attendance at all regularly scheduled General Surgery conferences is expected. Clerks will be strongly encouraged to take in house night call with their team.
