District I Special Agent in Charge (SAC) Elmer Four Dance is an enrolled member of the Three Affiliated Tribes of Fort Berthold. Mr. Four Dance has served as a Deputy Sheriff with the Mountrail County Sheriff’s Department, Lieutenant (LT) of Police for the City of New Town Police Department and a BIA police officer in which he was promoted through the ranks of Lt. of Police and later Chief of Police of Fort Berthold Agency.

Assistant Special Agent in Charge John M. Long began his law enforcement career with the Oglala Sioux Tribe Department of Public Safety. Mr. Long graduated from the Indian Police Academy and accepted a uniform police position with the BIA OJS. During his tenure as a BIA Police officer, he served with various departments including, Red Lake, MN, Yankton Agency, South Dakota and the Wind River Agency, Wyoming.
