Maintenance Division is the principal staff office of the command in matters pertaining to the management of the classes of supply, maintenance, readiness & logistical systems for the Mountain Post and sub-units.

The mission of the Maintenance Division (MD) is to provide ground and aviation maintenance support to the Fort Carson Community and surrounding areas, including the 4th Infantry Division, and the Army Materiel Command in support of the Commanders Full Spectrum Operations in defense of the Nation. The MD currently operates as a Government Owned, Contractor Operated (GOCO) facility and outsources all ground and aviation maintenance functions and associated processes to Contracted Service Providers (CSP's). The MD also supports and services the Standard Army Maintenance System – Installation Enhanced (SAMS-IE) system. SAMS-IE absorbs information from several other maintenance programs and is used as a visual tool to monitor units and contractor maintenance for exacting program management information for the entire MD.
