The children of the men and women in the Air Force receive the same first-class health benefits as their parents, whether they're in the United States or overseas. As an Air Force Pediatric Dentist, you'll provide dental care to your patients just as you do now. And since you won't have to deal with insurance you'll have virtually complete freedom to plan patient treatment the way you think is best.
To ease your transition into the Air Force, you'll enter a five-week training regimen designed to educate you on the ways of both the military and military healthcare. You'll participate in physical conditioning five days a week, leadership training and classroom studies.
