As an Air Force Pediatric Dentist, you'll provide dental care to your patients just as you do now. And since you won't have to deal with insurance you'll have virtually complete freedom to plan patient treatment the way you think is best.

  • Examine, diagnose and treat diseases, abnormalities, injuries and dysfunctional disorders of the oral cavity and its associated structures in children
  • Perform oral surgery and endodontic, prosthodontic and interceptive orthodontic treatment on children
  • Provide consultation services and determine equipment, material and personnel needs

Becoming a Direct Commission Officer

To ease your transition into the Air Force, you'll enter a five-week training regimen designed to educate you on the ways of both the military and military healthcare. You'll participate in physical conditioning five days a week, leadership training and classroom studies.
