There are more than 300,000 Airmen around the world. Now add in their spouses and families along with thousands of retirees. The result is a massive number of people in need of first-class dental care from experts such as you. As an Air Force Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologist, you'll do what you do now, only you'll do it on a base with the full backing of a trained staff and the latest equipment. What you won't do is deal with insurance companies or overhead because in the Air Force, your only job will be to take care of your patients.
To ease your transition into the Air Force, you'll enter a five-week training regimen designed to educate you on the ways of both the military and military healthcare. You'll participate in physical conditioning five days a week, leadership training and classroom studies.
