Secretary of State Hillary Clinton visited Tunisia from February 24-25. She hosted a Town Hall for Tunisian Youth.

U.S. Marines Toys for Tots Donation (January 8, 2012)
On January 8, Marines from U.S. Embassy Tunis donated dozens of new toys to children from the Institut National de Protection de L’Enfance in Manouba as part of its annual Toys for Tots program. Marine Security Guard detachments around the world contribute to this cause with local toy drives at U.S. Embassies during the holiday season.

Veterans Day Ceremony (November 10, 2011)
U.S. Ambassador to Tunisia Gordon Gray and Major General David R. Hogg, Commander, U.S. Army Africa presided over the Veterans Day ceremony at the American Battlefield Memorial Cemetery in Carthage on November 11. Several senior Tunisian government and military officials attended the event, including Air Force Chief of Staff General Taieb Laajami and Ambassador Faysal Gouia, Director General for the Americas and Asia at the Foreign Ministry.

USG Partners with Microsoft on Entrepreneurship
The Department of State has provided the Microsoft Innovation Center in Tunisia with $60,000 to support its Annual Startup Program. The program will provide training for 10 Tunisian startup companies.

U.S. Business Delegation visit to Tunisia (June 2011)
A business delegation composed of senior executives from six U.S. Fortune 500 companies visited Tunisia from June 24-25, 2011. The executives represented the following U.S. companies: Boeing, Bechtel, Coca-Cola, Dow, General Electric, and Marriott International. Jeff Immelt, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of General Electric Company, led the delegation.
