"Captain Matthew Collins enlisted into the Army in September 2007 and attended Basic Combat training at Fort Jackson as a member of Alpha Company, 1-13IN REG. He was sent to Fort Benning, GA where upon successful completion of Officer Candidate School he received a commission and branch assignment as an Armor officer. Matthew attended the Armor Officer Basic Course and the Scout Leaders Course at Fort Knox, Kentucky before returning to Fort Benning, GA for Airborne school.

Upon completion of initial schooling he was assigned to the 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry regiment, 4th IBCT, 1st Infantry Division at Fort Riley, Kansas. Matthew would serve with 1-4 CAV as a Squadron plans officer, Cavalry scout platoon leader and Troop Executive Officer in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 09-11.

CPT Collins has earned a Bachelor’s degree in business and a Masters degree in International Economics from Texas A&M University.

CPT Collins’ awards and decorations include the Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal with Campaign Star, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Ribbon, and Bronze Star Medal."

Company First Sergeant
1SG Malcolm

First Sergeant Raymond L. Malcolm was born in Bristol, Virginia. On 27 December 1990, he enlisted into the Regular Army as an Infantryman, MOS 11B.

During his career he has held many positions of responsibility, from Team Leader to First Sergeant. He is currently serving as the First Sergeant for C Co, 3rd Battalion 60th Infantry, 193 Infantry Brigade at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

He has served in all leadership positions as an infantryman at numerous duty assignments. He has served in 5th Battalion 20th Infantry, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Casey, Korea; 4th Battalion 60th Infantry, 5th Infantry Division, Fort Polk, LA; 2nd Battalion 7th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, TX; 2nd Battalion 9th Infantry, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Casey, Korea; 2nd Battalion 8th Infantry, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, TX; NCOA, Fort Benning, GA, 198th Infantry Training Brigade, Fort Benning, GA. As a First Sergeant, he has served at 1st Battalion 3rd Infantry Regiment, The Old Guard, Fort Myer, VA and 1st Battalion 27th Infantry, 25th Infantry Division, Schofield Barracks, HI.

His military education consists of the Warriors Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Senior Leaders Course, First Sergeants’ Course, Airborne School, Bradley Crew Evaluators Course, Master Fitness Trainers’ Course, Drill Sergeant Course, Total Army Instructor Trainers’ Course, the Small Group Leaders Course and other numerous courses and schools.

His military decorations include the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal (2 Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Commendation Medal (4 Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Achievement Medal (4 Oak Leaf Cluster), and other numerous ribbons and medals. First Sergeant Malcolm also holds the Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Basic Airborne Badge, Drill Sergeant Identification Badge and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Identification Badge. He is a recipient of the Sergeant Audie Murphy Medallion.

He is married to the former Kelly Hiltz and has one son, Brandon.
