CPT Thomas

CPT Elton J. Thomas is a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina. He graduated from Spartanburg High School in Spartanburg, South Carolina and enlisted in the United States Army in November 2000 as a Medical Laboratory Technician. In 2005, as a graduate student, he received his commission as a Field Artillery Officer through the Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) at Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University in Huntsville, Alabama.

CPT Thomas has served in various duty positions including Battalion Fire Direction Officer, Battalion Fire Support Coordinator, Battalion Civil Military Operations Officer, Assistant S3, Company Fire Support Coordinator, Mortar Platoon Leader and now currently serving as Company Commander.

His assignments HHB 1/15th Field Artillery, Camp Hovey, Korea, HHC 2/9th Infantry (Combined Arms Battalion) Camp Casey, Korea, HHC 2/14 Infantry (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, New York and now currently serving at C Co 1/61 Infantry Regiment, Fort Jackson, South Carolina.

CPT Thomas military education includes: IET Company Commander and First Sergeant Course, Field Artillery Captain’s Career Course, Field Artillery Officer Basic Course, Multi-National Forces Iraq Counterinsurgency Leader’s Course, Airload Planners Course, Information Operations Course, and the Medical Laboratory Science (TRI Level) Course. CPT Thomas has an Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from George Washington University, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Livingstone College, and Masters of Urban and Regional Planning from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University.

CPT Thomas awards and decorations include: the Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal (2 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (1OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, NCO Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Korean Defense Service Medal.

SFC Adrienne Wilson entered the Army June 1996. She attended Basic Combat Training (BCT) at Fort Jackson, SC; attending AIT at Fort Lee, VA graduating as an Automated Logistic Specialist in September 1996.
