Training will last approximately 10 weeks as we begin our process of transforming him or her from a civilian to a Soldier in the United States Army. The Soldiers in this unit will be trained in the basic tasks needed to be a Soldier, including rifle marksmanship, land navigation, and confidence course among numerous other events. At the conclusion of their training your relative, friend, or loved one will participate in a week long culmination event where he or she will be able to display and hone the skills taught to them throughout Basic Combat Training. After successful completion of all required tasks, he or she will participate in the Graduation Ceremony and prepare for their next step in the U.S. Army - whether that be Advance Individual Training (AIT), Officer Candidate School (OCS), or returning back home as a member of the U.S. Army Reserves or U.S. Army National guard.
