LIEUTENANT COLONEL ANDRE P. BALYOZ
Lieutenant Colonel Andre Balyoz was commissioned in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in May 1993. Prior to his assignment to the 2nd Engineer Battalion he served as the Professor of Military Science at Campbell University Army ROTC in Buies Creek, NC.
His previous assignments include line platoon leader, Battalion S2, and assault and obstacle platoon leader in the 40th Engineer Battalion, Commander of the 60th Topographic Detachment, Assistant Battalion S3 and Company Commander of Bravo Company, 40th Engineer Battalion, Battalion S3 for the 1-361st Engineer Battalion (AC/RC), Group Engineer for the 10th Special Forces Group, Battalion S3 and XO of the 4th Engineer Battalion, and Deputy Commander of the Albuquerque District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
LTC Balyoz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics from Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, NC and a Master of Science degree in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, MO. He is also a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College and the Combined Arms and Services Staff School, both at Ft. Leavenworth, KS and the Engineer Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, Fort Leonard Wood, MO.
LTC Balyoz’s military awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (with three Oak Leaf Clusters), the Joint Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (two Oak Leaf Clusters), the Army Achievement medal (one Oak Leaf Cluster), the Southwest Asia Service Ribbon, the Kosovo Campaign Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Airborne badge, the Air Assault badge and the Bronze de Fleury Medal. |
