- Konner SheaThanks for ruining christmas dickheads. I was due backpay yesterday on the 21st, now my family doesn't get christmas. Fuck you.11 · on Friday
- J Glenn DavisA gift to myself will be to have nothing more to do with you Agency ever again. Three Decades ago I graduated from High School. One of the first things I had to do was apply for a Social Security Card because I needed one in order to work. On that visit to the Local Social Security Office I asked an employee of the SSA about receiving Child Benefit’s because my Mother was receiving SSI and was disabled. Secondly, I asked because I was recently discharged from a private school for emotionally disturbed children. There was no IEP and the only choice I had was to return to the family that had physically and sexually abused me as a child. That did not work out. It took 20 years to receive SSi,then it took another decade to receive SSDI. Nearly a decade and I have been disallowed to actualise a PASS Plan or utilise my Ticket-To-Work. Yesterday I get a letter form your Agency saying that it is possible that I may qualify to receive additional Benefits if one of my Parents was Disabled or Payed into the System when I was Under the age of 22. All I have to do is fill out another Application. So I can honestly say your Agency wasted 33 Years of my life. You know what you can do with Checks and Programs, right ???on Friday

Good question:
When should I apply for Medicare?
We generally advise people to apply for Medicare three months before turning age 65. Doing so will ensure your coverage begins on time at age 65.

Today, Commissioner Astrue announced 35 additional Compassionate Allowances conditions, bringing the total number of conditions to 200. Compassionate Allowances are a way to quickly identify diseases and other medical conditions that, by definition, meet Social Security’s standards for disability benefits. The program fast-tracks disability decisions to ensure that Americans with the most serious disabilities receive their benefit decisions within days instead of months or years. For a list of the new conditions, visit http://www.socialsecurity.gov/pressoffice/pr/compassionate-allowances200conditions-pr.htmlSocial Security Administration shared a link.
Tomorrow, Commissioner Astrue will hold a Compassionate Allowances (CAL) milestone event in Washington D.C. to commemorate CAL reaching 200 conditions.
