White House Tour Information

Public tours of the White House are available, free of charge.
Tour requests must be submitted through one's Member of Congress and are accepted up to six months in advance and no less than 30 days in advance. These tours tend to fill up quickly. Please submit your request as far in advance as possible, especially for the months of March through September, since a limited number of tours are available.
These self-guided White House tours are available from 7:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Friday, and 7:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday (excluding federal holidays). Tour hours are dependent upon the President's schedule and may be extended based on the official White House schedule.
All persons who wish to tour the White House must submit security-clearance information, including full legal name, gender, date of birth, social security number (passport number and country of origin for all non-U.S. citizens), country of citizenship, and current residence. All persons over the age of 14 must present a government-issued photo ID on the day of the tour.
