Obamacare

These are the problems with Obamacare:

  • Forcing citizens to buy government mandated insurance is unconstitutional.
  • The federal government will fund abortions by directly appropriating funds to state high risk pools.
  • 16,500 new IRS agents will be hired to administer and enforce Obamacare.
  • Some companies are given waivers and others are not depending on political preference.  Equal application of the law does not apply to Obamacare.
  • The CBO budget projections stop at 10 years even though the costs increase dramatically after 10 years.
  • Businesses are not investing capital or hiring because there is ambiguity about the costs of Obamacare in terms of dollars and regulation.
  • It increases the cost of insurance and health care.

I would vote to repeal and replace Obamacare with a more competitive and cost reducing system.  Healthcare reform should:

  • Allow families and businesses to buy insurance across state lines.
  • End frivolous lawsuits that result in defensive medicine and exorbitant malpractice insurance premiums.
  • Enhance Health Savings Accounts.
  • Eliminate exemptions for pre-existing conditions.
  • Provide incentives for healthier lifestyles.

I look forward to hearing from you.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Congressman Jim Bridenstine commented in advance of tonight’s State of the Union Address to Congress:

I expect tonight’s State of the Union Address to be a wish list for liberals.  The President will use the word “balanced” to call for more taxes, more debt, and more spending.  There is nothing balanced about the President’s big government approach.
