11/29/2011 - Liezel Bambao, Airman and Family Readiness Center volunteer coordinator, discusses various volunteer opportunities with U.S. Air Force Senior Airman Ryan McMahon, 961st Airborne Air Control Squadron airborne mission systems specialist on Kadena Air Base, Japan, Nov. 29, 2011. The AFRC volunteer program provides aid to military members, dependents, retirees and civilians from the local community who are interested in volunteer opportunities. With its coordinated effort, from March 2010- March 2011, the program has allowed Kadena to save more than $15 million in manpower hours while providing 747,850 volunteer hours in the process.
