Medical clearance information for duty assignments
Wondering what steps should be taken if a duty assignment ends up being an overseas assignment? The 18th Medical Group outlines the following steps for family member clearance:

Once notified of assignment, the active-duty Airmen with dependents complete AF Form 4380, Air Force Special Needs Screener, and take it to Outbound Assignments. The form can be obtained in e-pubs. This form is completed whether the family member is on the island or not. Annotate on the form if the family is not on the island or will not travel to the gaining base.

The following outlines the steps for Family Member Relocation Clearance process:

The active-duty Airmen with an overseas assignment or who are "Q-Coded" should start earlier on the clearance process. It starts at the 18th Medical Group/Tricare sections, where the clearance coordinator will brief the process and provide the package. Screenings are conducted Thursdays from 9-11 a.m.
