In the early 60s caught a hop on a KB-50 from Yakota to Kadena. Had over stayed my leave and was hours away from being AWOL. About half way back the pilot said he could feel a strange vibration and was turning back. Got up and looked around and saw the rear hatch flapping in the breeze. Told the refueler if he didn't tell the pilot I would. He did and we continued on. We refueled several squadrons of F-100s and landed with time to spare.
