Comment Policy
The Office of the Associate Director for Communication moderates the CDC Works for You 24/7 blog and reviews all comments before posting them online. We expect participants to treat one another with respect. We won’t post comments that contain vulgar language, personal attacks, or offensive terms that target specific individuals or groups. Comments that are off-topic, promote products or servies, or make unsupported accusations will also not be posted.
Frequency of blog entries and comment moderation
Every effort will be made to post new blog entries in a timely manner. In an effort to manage Federal resources effectively, we will review comments and post comments during business hours only. We will moderate and post comments submitted after hours, on weekends, or on holidays as soon as possible during the following business day.
Privacy
All approved comments enter the public domain and therefore are visable to others. Participants should ensure that blog comments contain no personal identifiable information or private medical information about a third party, especially information restricted from release under the Privacy Act or the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). To protect your own privacy and the privacy of others, users should avoid including phone numbers or email addresses in the body of comments.
Media
Media inquiries should be sent to CDC Media Relations through normal channels. More information is available at http://www.cdc.gov/media.
