The mission of the Health Sciences Library is to support quality patient care by providing the resources and services to meet the information, research and education requirements of staff and students assigned to the Eisenhower Army Medical Center. To achieve this mission the library maintains a collection of print and electronic books and periodicals, providing 24/7 access at the point of care. In addition the library offers several electronic databases, including Epocrates, MD-Consult, OVID, and UpToDate, with an emphasis on evidence-based medicine.
The Health Sciences Library also operates the DDEAMC Consumer Health Library, providing informational and recreational resources to active and retired military personnel, patients and family members of patients at DDEAMC. The Consumer Health Library is located on the 10th floor, Room 10-B-06, and is open Monday-Thursday from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. For more information call 706-787-1252.
DDEAMC, DENTAC and SRMC employees on Fort Gordon may access the electronic resources of the Health Sciences Library via IKENET, or remotely using the EZProxy authentication system.
