Employee Assistance Program
Personal problems can affect the lives of employees both at home and at work. FOH manages one of the largest Employee Assistance Program (EAP) in the country, covering more than 700,000 federal workers each year.
The EAP provides assessment, counseling, referral, management consultation, and coaching services to Federal employees and agencies throughout the United States.
What We Do
The EAP provided by FOH is a comprehensive program that helps employees resolve personal problems that may adversely impact their work performance, conduct, health, and well-being. FOH's EAP addresses problems in the quickest, least restrictive, and most convenient manner while minimizing cost and protecting client confidentiality. Among the services we offer are:
- Assessment, counseling and referral services

- Advance Directives
- "Continuous Quality Improvement" reviews
- Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM)
- Employee risk management (supervisor and union consultation)
- Management reports (utilization and trend analyses)

The EAP also offers a quarterly newsletter, Let’s Talk, which educates and inspires—ultimately, engaging the client more fully in his or her mental and emotional wellness and work/life balance.
Monthly Campaigns
The EAP offers monthly campaigns to raise awareness of various mental and emotional well-being and work-life issues. Among the campaigns resources are the Your Source newsletter and a poster with a new theme for each monthly campaign.
