11/30/2012 - ANDERSEN AIR FORCE BASE, Guam -- Tops in Blue, the premier entertainment showcase of the Air Force, continued their world tour "Listen!" with a concert for Team Andersen at Hangar 1 here Nov. 27.

The 25-member group performed rhythms of the Doobie Brothers, Earth, Wind and Fire, Whitney Houston, Michael Jackson and Maroon 5. This year's tour also showcased the country music of Darius Rucker, Carrie Underwood, Lady Antebellum and The Zac Brown Band.

From the beginning of the show, the performers had the crowd in awe as they proudly walked out sparkling in their red, white and blue outfits.

"I thought it was absolutely awesome and fun to witness the show," said Lori Thorne, an audience member. "The Airmen showed a lot of pride and patriotism while they were on the stage performing."

Numerous families filled the hangar and clapped their hands to the beat as they sang along.

"I thought the show was great," said Staff Sgt. Matthew Clinesmith, 36th Security Forces Squadron patrol leader. "In the seven years I've been in the military, I've never been to a Tops in Blue performance. It was pretty cool, and I wanted to share this experience with my daughter, Lilly. She really likes music."

Throughout the show, the cover of Michael Jackson's hit singles "Thriller," and "Billie Jean" turned out to be the crowd favorites.

"My favorite cover of the night was Michael Jackson," Sergeant Clinesmith said. "I haven't seen an M.J. impersonation that good since Vegas."

When the show ended with the Air Force song, the crowd rose to their feet and gave the Airmen a standing ovation.

Tops in Blue is an expeditionary entertainment unit that provides quality entertainment from within Air Force resources for the Air Force family, with priority to Air Force personnel stationed worldwide at remote and deployed locations. Tops in Blue promotes community relations, recruiting efforts and serve as ambassadors for the United States of America and the United States Air Force.

This year, the 10-month tour will include about 130 shows throughout the United States and more than 20 countries.
