Captain Erik P. Johnson is a native of Monticello, NY. He received his Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Civil Engineering from the United States Military Academy, from which he also received his commission in 2006. He earned a Master’s Degree in Engineering Management from Missouri University of Science and Technology.

CPT Johnson’s military courses include the Engineer Officer Basic Course and the Engineer Captain’s Career Course.

CPT Johnson’s first assignment was as the Support Platoon Leader of the 50th Multi-Role Bridge Company, 5th Engineer Battalion in Fort Leonard Wood, MO. From there he took over as the Executive Officer of the 50th MRBC from which position he deployed to Joint Base Balad in Iraq under Operation Iraqi Freedom and fell under the 555th Engineer Brigade. While deployed, CPT Johnson took over as the 5th Engineer Battalion Construction Officer. Prior to attending the Career Course, CPT Johnson worked with the United States Army Corps of Engineers helping to conduct inspections on new barracks under construction on Fort Leonard Wood.

CPT Johnson’s awards and decorations include the Army Commendations Medal (2), Army Achievement Medal (1), National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal (2), and the Global War on Terrorism Medal, Army Service Ribbon.

CPT Johnson is married and has one child.

1SG Rigoberto C. Duran is a native of Born in Montebello, California. 1SG Duran Joined the United States Army in November 1995. After 1SG Duran received Basic Training and advance individual training he attended Basic Airborne Training at Ft. Benning, GA. 1SG Duran is married and has 2 children.

Duty locations include: Ft Bragg NC, Wiesbaden Germany, and Ft Carson, CO. While in Colorado 1SG Duran was selected by The Department of the Army to attend the Army Recruiting Course and subsequently was assigned to The United States Army Recruiting Command (USAREC) where his duty assignments included: The Phoenix Recruiting Battalion, The Des Moines Recruiting Battalion, The Minneapolis Recruiting Battalion and prior to his arrival to Alpha Company 2-13 Infantry Regiment in Fort Jackson, he was assigned to the Houston Recruiting Battalion as the Huntsville Recruiting Company First Sergeant.

His military Education includes Airborne School, Unit Armorer Course, Hazardous Material Handler School, Department of Defense Reutilization Systems Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course, Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course, Basic Recruiter Course, Station Commander Course, Department Of The Army First Sergeant Course, the USAREC First Sergeant Course and the BCT First Sergeant and Company Commander’s course.

Awards and decoration include the Meritorious Service Medal (1OLC), Meritorious Unit Citation, Army Commendation Medal (4 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (7OLC), Good Conduct Medal (4th Award), National Defense Service Medal with BS, Humanitarian Service Medal, Overseas Service Medal, NCO Professional Development with Numeral 4, Global War On Terrorism Medal, the Recruiter Ring and Gold Recruiter Badge with 3 Sapphires, the Glenn E. Morrel award and the Parachutist badge.
