Program Description

Department of Energy's (DOE) Weatherization Assistance Program is the nation's largest residential energy efficiency program. Its mission is to insulate the dwellings of low-income persons, particularly the elderly, persons with disabilities, families with children, high residential energy users, and households with a high energy burden, in order to conserve needed energy and to aid those persons least able to afford higher utility costs.

General Program Requirements

In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a resident of the state of Oklahoma.

If you receive Supplemental Security Income or Aid to Families with Dependent Children, you are automatically eligible to receive weatherization services.

Application Process

The Office of Community Development (OCD) receives and distributes the funds, plans, implements and manages the program, and contract with the Community Action Agency (CAA). Contact your local Community Action Agency for more information and to apply:
