Who is eligible:Pregnant women who have a Washington State medical card. What it does:The First steps Program provides medical and support services for pregnant women. You may be referred by a financial worker at your local Community Services Office. If you are not referred, you can call 1-800-322-2588 to get connected to the program. Participation in the First Steps Program is voluntary. If you choose to participate in the First Steps Program, you will meet with a First Steps Social Worker. Depending on your needs, you may be referred for other services. Services that may be provided include:
The First Steps Program also includes access to a full range of family planning services and all FDA approved contraceptives after you have had your baby. |
