55th Mission Support Group 55th Mission Support Group

The 55th Mission Support Group provides vital mission support for Offutt Air Force Base through engineering, security, mission support, services, supply, transportation, contracting and deployment readiness programs.

In addition, the 55th MSG supports over 40,000 active duty, civilian, family member and retiree personnel and over 93 associate units, including U.S. Strategic Command, Air Force Weather Agency, National Airborne Operations Center and presidential-tasked global reconnaissance missions.

tab55th Force Support Squadron 
The 55th Force Support Squadron consists of five flights and one professional development center. Each flight is dedicated to supporting ACC's largest Wing and a 54,000 person military/retiree community with quality service.

tab55th Security Forces Squadron 
The 55th Security Forces Squadron, located at Bldg #160, 198 Butler Blvd, protects and defends Offutt Air Force Base personnel and resources which include the Airborne National Command Post, four Presidential support aircraft and other C3 platforms valued over $9.1billion, through the application of weapons systems security; police services; combat arms; information, industrial, and personnel security; military working dogs; air base defense; and antiterrorism operations 24 hours a day/seven days a week. 

The unit encompasses three installation entry points, a Visitor Control Center, law enforcement patrols, flight line security, an investigative branch, Combat Arms Training and the wing antiterrorism office. Members of the unit conduct law enforcement and community policing functions throughout the base and the Offutt Military Family Housing community. This includes enforcing all speed limits and rules of the road. 

The STRATCOM Gate Visitor Control Center is located just outside of STRATCOM Gate where you can register your vehicle, obtain an AF Form 75 Visitor/Vehicle Pass, receive DD Forms 1934/Geneva Convention Cards, as well as AF Form 354s for Government employees and dependents. The Pass and Registration office is also located at the Visitor Control Center, they will provides services for obtaining restricted area badges, vehicle registration, and out-processing.
 
tab55th Civil Engineer Squadron 
The 55th Civil Engineer Squadron is compromised of approximately 631-civilian and contractor personnel in an all civilian Directorate. The squadron provides ACC's largest flying wing with engineering, environmental compliance, family housing, facility and infrastructure maintenance, emergency management, and fire protection for 4 National Airborne Operations Center and 27 RC/WC/OC-135 aircraft. The squadron manages $50 million in support of 10million square feet of facilities dispersed over 4,027 acres. 
tab55th Contracting Squadron 
The 55th Contracting Squadron provides contract and acquisition support on services, construction, and supplies for the 55th Wing and 93 associate units including U.S. Strategic Command and Air Force Weather Agency. The squadron is comprised of a command section, four flights (Wing Support, CE Construction Support, AFWA/ USSTRATCOM, and Plans and Programs), plus a contingency deployment cell.

The squadron performs as a business advisor to customers on mission requirements. It maintains worldwide contingency contracting capability in support of national taskings. Ensures legal contractual compliance and promotes positive small business opportunities. Total dollars awarded for the year ending 30 September 2012 were over $317 million. $66 million in Small Business prime contracts and $80 million in Small Business sub-contracts were awarded. Expenditures through the use of the Government Purchase Card (GPC) were approximately $29 million.
 
tab55th Logistics Readiness Squadron 
The 55th Logistics Readiness Squadron is made up of 173 dedicated military and civilian logistics professionals providing comprehensive logistics readiness support to the 55th Wing and Offutt partner units. The squadron is organized into four flights: Deployment and Distribution, Fuels Management, Materiel Management, and Vehicle Management.

Deployment and Distribution Flight provides comprehensive transportation planning and operations support at Offutt. The flight handles wing passenger movement, cargo processing, aircrew transportation support, and personal property (household goods) shipments and deliveries. Additionally, the flight is responsible to execute installation deployment command and control through the Installation Deployment Officer (IDO). The IDO and Plans and Integration section is responsible for daily management of the wing's AEF data and activities, overseeing approximately 950 unit type codes (UTCs), and orchestrating the timely deployment, employment, and redeployment of Offutt forces in support of the wing's intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance mission.

Fuels Management Flight provides year-round aviation and ground fuel and cryogenics support to enable wing operations. The flight provides 24/7/365 operations coverage maintaining six different products to include multiple grades of aviation and ground fuel, liquid oxygen, and deicing fluid for the wing. The flight provides direct mission support to Offutt and transient aircraft through approximately 26,000 flightline fuel servicings via hydrant and truck operations.

Materiel Management Flight provides supply support to the Wing and partner units. The Aircraft Parts Store provides 24/5 coverage for response to maintenance demands. A special support section provides accountability and support for a number of unique systems on Offutt aircraft. Customer service serves a supply central point of contact and equipment accountability authority for wing customers. The Individual Protective Equipment element provides mobility bags, weapons, and individual body armor for deploying personnel. Tracking of hazardous materials is provided by the HAZMART section.

Vehicle Management Flight provides fleet management and maintenance support for the wing's vehicle fleet. The flight accounts for, assigns, and maintains the wing's vehicle fleet in a safe, serviceable, and efficient manner.
