2012 SWPA Science Bowl Results

Congratulations!

North Allegheny High School and Ingomar Middle School

The finals for the SWPA Science Bowl were held on March 7th. The winner of the SWPA High School Science Bowl is North Allegheny High School. The winner of the SWPA Middle School Science Bowl is Ingomar Middle School Team 2 from the North Allegheny School District.
The final team results are

High School:

• 1st - North Allegheny HS
• 2nd - Mt. Lebanon HS
• 3rd - Baldwin HS
• 4th - Pine-Richland HS

Middle School:

• 1st - Ingomar MS Team 2 (North Allegheny School District)
• 2nd - Westmont Hilltop MS (Westmont Hilltop School District)
• 3rd - Fort Couch MS (Upper St. Clair School District)
• 4th - Ingomar MS Team 1 (North Allegheny School District)

North Allegheny HS and Ingomar MS will be traveling to Washington DC to represent SWPA at The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) National Science Bowl on April 26-30, 2012.

We want to thank all the volunteers from the Saturday competitions and those who participated in the finals at NETL.

Under new Science Bowl guidelines, the definition of the Southwestern Pennsylvania (SWPA) Science Bowl region has changed. The new SWPA Science Bowl region will be defined as the following counties:
Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Butler, Cambria, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Lawrence, Somerset, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Registration Fee: $50 per team

• Preliminary Rounds will be at the Community College of Allegheny County - South Campus - Google Maps Location
• Finals will be at the National Energy Technology
