The U.S. Embassy in Copenhagen observes U.S. holidays as well as Danish holidays. If a U.S. holiday is on a Saturday or Sunday the Embassy observes the holiday on the nearest week day. This means that the Embassy is closed on the following days in 2012.

  • June 5, Constitution Day
  • July 4, Independence Day
  • September 3 , Labor Day
  • October 8, Columbus Day
  • November 12, Veterans Day
  • November 22, Thanksgiving Day
  • December 24, Christmas Eve
  • December 25, Christmas Day
  • December 26, Second Christmas Day
  • December 31, New Years Eve, half day
