Internships
Facility Management Office
Brief description of job
The Facility Management Office is seeking a qualified intern to help advance environmentally sustainable practices at our properties. This is an opportunity for the right candidate to become involved, first hand, in the improvement of our Embassy properties through the investigation and implementation of environmental solutions. This could ultimately take the form of a Study analyzing the technical operations and/or the cultural environment within the Embassy. The main focus of the work will be to identify ways in which the Embassy can reduce its impact on the environment, while at the same time improving its facilities. This may involve the integration of new building technologies and/or the implementation of new policies. The chosen intern will work on the administrative staff of the Facilities Management Office, performing project management, research, and other administrative duties as well.
Qualifications
The intern should currently be a student working towards a Trade Craft profession and have a reasonable level of technical competence. The right candidate will have the ability to understand building systems and have a desire to look at new ways to address energy consumption, resource management and effectiveness.
The candidate must have a basic understanding of office computer programs (MS Office) and be fluent in either English or Danish. If not fluent in English, they must at least have a basic level of competence in Spoken English.
