Purpose
![](images/line.jpg)
This
working group
addresses the critical need to relate ARM cloud observation
to climate model development and evaluation.
The
research uses two types of models:
-
single
column models which represent the evolution of the vertical profile of
temperature, water vapor, and clouds averaged over a single grid-box of
a global climate model, and
-
high-resolution
cloud resolving models to represent convective and cloud processes over
a limited area.
Results from our studies are then
used to improve cloud parameterizations in
global climate models.
We invite you to read about our
accomplishments, research, data products and activities using the links
on the left-side bar.
