Washington, D.C. – Tonight, the President gave his annual remarks for the State of the Union. In response, Congressman Randy Weber (R-Texas) made the following statement:

“Tonight, President Obama put forth an agenda that he believes will boost the economy and create good-paying jobs without costing a dime. However, we’ve heard the exact same story for the last four years. Instead, President Obama’s failed policies have exploded our debt, increased unemployment and stifled economic growth.

Washington, D.C. – Today, Nebraska’s Governor Dave Heineman approved a route for the Keystone Pipeline. Congressman Weber is calling on the President to act and issued the following statement:

“In an attempt to be proactive with this recent development in Nebraska, I signed on as an original co-sponsor to the Keystone for a Secure Tomorrow Act. If passed this piece of legislation will immediately approve the Keystone Pipeline permit. There is no reason why the United States should not capitalize on this opportunity.
