Roadside Inspections
This module provides summarized data for five fiscal or calendar years including current year to date information on all roadside inspections conducted on motor carriers that transport property or passengers in interstate or intrastate commerce.
A roadside inspection is an examination of individual commercial motor vehicles and drivers by a Motor Carrier Safety Assistance Program (MCSAP) inspector to determine if they are in compliance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) and/or Hazardous Materials Regulations (HMRs.) Serious violations result in the issuance of driver or vehicle OOS orders. These violations must be corrected before the affected driver or vehicle can return to service.
