  • Pre-work required / Walk-ins NOT authorized
  • Eligible students should have completed PMT 401 at least 18 months prior to attending PMT 402.
  • This course is based on the adult learning concept. Student complete assessments and then derive their individual learning needs. Interactions with senior DoD and industry leaders throughout the course facilitate networking and viewing the acquisition process from various perspectives. Lessons and/or one-on-one instruction are provided and specifically tailored for the students learning needs with updates incorporated for each offering based on law, policy, process, or practice changes.
  • The course contains approximately 25 topical modules including participation in guest speaker led discussions and instructor-led presentations on current policy, processes, and “lessons learned”. Each module is presented with real world issues conducted at the PM/PEO level. Additionally, each student conducts pre-course research/assessment on his/her program office, as the foundation for an end-of-course action plan containing program office strategy.
  • The instructors actively facilitate all lessons and use their subject matter expertise to assess individual and group performance during delivery of discussions and leadership presentations.
  • The passing criteria are a combination of a satisfactory learner self-assessment and satisfactory action plan as assessed by the course manager and Learning Team Mentors (LTM).
