Sensenbrenner Speaks at March for Life event on National Mall
Washington,
Jan 24, 2011 -
Congressman Jim Sensenbrenner, (WI-05) today spoke at the March for Life event on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., marking the 38th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the U.S. Supreme Court decision that overturned all restrictions on abortion.
Throughout Sensenbrenner's time in Congress, he has fought for the rights of the unborn and to protect the sanctity of life. Sensenbrenner has called on the Obama Administration to keep the conscience protection regulations in place, prevent funding abortions overseas with taxpayer dollars and stop using taxpayer dollars to fund elective abortions in the United States under the new health care law.
The “March For Life” began in 1974 as a protest of the Roe v. Wade court decision.
