The 179th is comprised of dedicated Americans who give selflessly of their time and talents. Our members come from all over the state to fulfill their obligation of a weekend per month training and fifteen or more annual training days per year. While our primary mission is to provide airlift for our state and nation, the 179th also has a multitude of other career paths that provide outstanding technical training and leadership opportunities, not to mention good pay, travel, educational benefits and friendships with top-notch people.

- 100% Paid college tuition for members enrolled in a state college for a minimum of 6 credit hour. Up to $3,900 per semester at a private Ohio school.
