(Please do not call for any "Immigrant" or "Non Immigrant" visas related questions to the ACS unit! The ACS unit will not answer to visa inquiries.)

Our most important responsibility is the protection of American citizens traveling or living abroad. We can assist in many ways when an American is arrested, stranded, in need of medical referral, or otherwise in need of assistance. The U.S. Consulates in Istanbul and Adana also provide emergency services.


During regular business hours (8:30 – 5:30 Monday through Friday), call (90) 312-455 5555 for assistance.  After hours, please call 90) 312-455 5555.  After hours services should be limited to life threatening or serious emergencies.

The Department of State Call Center is operational from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. EST. In times of crisis the Call Center is operational 24 hours a day.
