Fiscal Tools and Best Practices
Tools and Best Practices
"Tools" are analytic devices to help accomplish assessments, analyses, designs, or evaluations relevant to bringing about institutional, organizational, or developmental change. The Fiscal Reform and Economic Governance Project focuses on development of tools that can be useful in supporting fiscal reform and improving economic governance.
The “Best Practice” notes featured here highlight time-tested methods for bringing about important reforms in areas related to fiscal reform and economic governance in developing, transition, and post-conflict countries. They are designed to be directly useful in the assessment, design, review, or evaluation of USAID and other donor-funded program interventions.
In some cases, these notes are condensed from longer best practice studies produced by the Fiscal Reform and Economic Governance Project. Where applicable, both the study and note are provided.
