Congresswoman Kuster Statement on Capitol Corridor Rail Study

Feb 6, 2013
Press Release

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congresswoman Annie Kuster (NH-02) released the following statement today after the New Hampshire Executive Council approved a study to examine the viability of expanding commuter rail in the Capitol Corridor.

“With today’s Executive Council vote, we’re one step closer to making rail a reality in the Capitol Corridor. There is a growing recognition that expanding commuter rail in this region would bring significant economic benefits to our state. By moving forward with this study, which is supported by federal funds, we can weigh those benefits against the costs of the project so that we can bring rail to the Granite State in a fiscally responsible way.”
