CPT Steven Harrison
B CO

Captain Steven M. Harrison, a native of Eden, NC, attended the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice. CPT Harrison was commissioned by the US Army Infantry Officer Candidate School (OCS) in 2006. Following graduation from the Infantry Officer Basic Course and Infantry Mortar Leader Course in 2007, his first assignment was with the 4th Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division at Fort Lewis, Washington.

While assigned to 4th Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, Captain Harrison initially served as a Platoon Leader for Able Company during a 12-month deployment to Iraq. Subsequently, he served as the Headquarters and Headquarters Company Executive Officer at Fort Lewis and the Assistant Operations Officer during the battalion’s second 12-month deployment to Iraq.

Following graduation from the Maneuver Captain’s Career Course, CPT Harrison was assigned to the 2d Battalion, 39th Infantry Regiment, 165th Infantry Brigade as the Assistant Operations Officer. CPT Harrison is currently serving as the Commander for Bravo Company, 2-39IN.

CPT Harrison’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (with OLC), the Army Commendation Medal (with V device and OLC), the Army Achievement Medal, the National Defense Service Medal, Iraq Campaign Medal (with two BS devices), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Service Ribbon (with numeral two device), Combat Infantryman Badge, and Parachutist Badge.
