Jacobson

Captain Jeremy Jacobson is a native of Grand Forks, ND. He enlisted in September 2000 as a Radiologic Technology Specialist. His first duty assignment was Lyster Army Community Hospital, Ft. Rucker, AL. CPT Jacobson commissioned in the Signal Corps as a distinguished honor graduate from Officer Candidate School (OCS) in November 2006.

CPT Jacobson’s first assignment following OCS was as the Communications Platoon Leader for 1-44 Air and Missile Defense (AMD) BN, Ft. Bliss, TX. The BN deployed in support of OEF in 2007 to the Republic of Korea and subsequently relocated to Ft. Hood, TX as part of the BRAC initiative. At Ft. Hood he served as the Executive Officer for 1-44 AMD BN’s Maintenance Company and also as the BN S-6. CPT Jacobson volunteered for deployment in support of OEF in 2010 with 3-2 Air Defense Artillery BN (Ft. Sill, OK) and served as the BN S-6 split between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

His military education includes the Combat Medic Course, Radiologic Technology Specialist Course, Primary Leadership Development Course, Officer Candidate School, Basic Officer Leadership Course II, Signal Officer Basic Course, Brigade/Battalion S-6 Course, Joint C4 Planners Course, Signal Captains’ Career Course, and Company Commander / First Sergeant Course. He has a bachelor’s degree in Science and Technology and is working on a master’s degree in International Relations.

His awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (2OLC), Army Commendation Medal (2OLC), Army Achievement Medal (2OLC), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Army Overseas Service Ribbon (2), Korean Defense Service Medal, Army Superior Unit Citation, Army Service Ribbon, Artillery Order of Saint Barbara, and German Armed Forces Badge for Military Proficiency.

CPT Jacobson is married to the former Janna Gulledge of Abbeville, AL; he and his wife have one son (Gunnar), and two daughters (Halle and Hanna).

First Sergeant Minor

SFC David Minor is originally from Gardendale, Alabama.

He entered the United States Army in March 1994 and completed Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson SC.

Upon graduating from AIT, he was awarded the MOS of 42A, Human Resources Specialist.

His duty assignments include Korea, Fort Gordon, GA, the Military District of Washington, Germany, and Fort Jackson, SC.

SFC Minor’s prior leadership positions include Postal Sergeant, Operations Sergeant, Operations Supervisor, Instructor/Writer, BN S-1 Human Resources Sergeant, NCOIC, Personal Actions Branch, and Senior Drill Sergeant.

SFC Minor has four deployments; Nigeria in 2000 as part of Operation Focus Relief, Kosovo in 2002 as part of Task Force Falcon, Iraq in 2003 - 2004 as part of Operations Iraqi Freedom, and Iraq again in 2007 – 2008.

SFC Minor’s military and civilian education includes the Postal Operation Course, Warrior Leaders Course, Advanced Leaders Course, Small Group Instructor Training Course, Postal Supervisors Course, Senior Leaders Course, Basic Instructor Training Course, Drill Sergeant School, and Master Resiliency Course. He is currently completing his civilian education with the University of Maryland University College.
