The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development recently released an application that allows users to look up housing Fair Market Rents (FMRs) & Income Limits from anytime and anywhere.

The HUD PD&R FMR/IL Lookup application is only currently available on the Android platform. Here’s more from HUD about the data users can access on the application and how it is helpful.

HUD annually estimates Fair Market Rents (FMRs) for 530 metropolitan areas and 2,045 nonmetropolitan county FMR areas. HUD also sets income limits annually to determine the eligibility of applicants for HUD’s assisted housing programs. FMRs are used to determine payment standard amounts for the various assisted housing programs and to serve as a rent ceiling in the HOME rental assistance program. This map-based app allows users to search FMRs and income limits by current location or by metropolitan area, county, zipcode and/or address.

Download this app now to determine payment amounts and rent thresholds for HUD’s housing assistance programs, and discover the income limits established by HUD for households of different sizes in each location to determine eligibility for a variety of programs.
