GOAL:
To help U.S. Economic Development Organizations (EDO) attract Canadian automotive components manufacturers to invest in the United States. The event will be lead by a senior official and will include meetings with local manufacturers from the automotive sector potentially interested in opening or developing production operations in the United States.

OPPORTUNITIES:
The North American Automotive sector is now accelerating to full speed.  Total U.S. light-vehicle production is up 57%  (January-August 2010)  compared to the same period during 2009. We expect solid growth rates for the next several years.

PROSPECTIVE U.S. PARTICIPANTS:
Economic Development Organizations interested in attracting Canadian automotive sector investment. Economic Development Organizations already having Canadian investment in their territory, as well as Economic Development Organizations seeking to attract Canadian investment for the first time, are encouraged to apply.

PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS:
The event is designed for a minimum of 6 and a maximum of 10 participants.

Fees and Expenses:
A participation fee is required in order to be enrolled.

Expenses for travel, lodging, meals, and incidentals will be the responsibility of each mission participant.
