Incentive: The Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) is a national network of 60 centers across the United States with thousands of specialists trained to serve the needs of small-and medium-sized manufacturing clients. Through a framework focused on five critical areas – technology acceleration, supplier development, sustainability, workforce, as well as continuous improvement – the MEP Program assists manufacturers in developing new customers, expand into new markets, and create new products with the end goal of increasing profitability and competitiveness.

MEP specialists customize services to fit the individual needs and goals of the local manufacturing client.

Foreign Agricultural Service

The Foreign Agricultural Service (FAS) links U.S. agriculture to the world to enhance export opportunities and global food security.

In addition to its Washington, D.C. staff, FAS has a global network of 98 offices covering 162 countries. These offices are staffed by agricultural attachés and locally hired staff who are the eyes, ears, and voice for U.S. agriculture around the world. FAS staff identify problems, provide practical solutions, and work to advance opportunities for U.S. agriculture and support U.S. foreign policy around the globe.

Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance

Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance (CFDA) provides a full listing of all Federal programs available to State and local governments (including the District of Columbia); federally-recognized Indian tribal governments; Territories (and possessions) of the United States; domestic public, quasi- public, and private profit and nonprofit organizations and institutions; specialized groups; and individuals.

As of July 17, 2012 detailed program descriptions are listed for 2,238 Federal assistance programs.

The Internet and GSA’s free CFDA website at http://www.cfda.gov will be the primary means of disseminating the Catalog.
