tabAirpark Mission
The mission of the Scott Field Heritage Air Park is to portray the history of Scott Air Force Base, the Air Mobility Command and the Airlift, Air Refueling and Aeromedical Evacuation missions.

The mission of the Scott Field Heritage Air Park Committee is to provide capital support for the Scott Field Air Park for facility improvement and expansion and those projects for which USAF funding is not available.

At bases throughout the Air Force, airparks are used to display Air Force aircraft and commemorate significant events. The Scott Heritage Air Park continues that long and honored tradition.

The Scott Airpark will include the workhorses of the Air Mobility Command, the C-141 Starlifter, and the KC-135 Stratotanker. These aircraft have played significant roles supporting our nations military from Vietnam through today's global war on terrorism in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Additionally the airpark will have on display the C-9 Nightingale and the C-140 Jetstar. Both of these aircraft were flown by men and women assigned to Scott AFB. The C-9 Nightingale was the nation's only aircraft dedicated to the lifesaving Aeromedical Evacuation mission.
