Dr. (Col.) Renee Jaso, commander or the Air Force Reserve's 433rd Medical Squadron (center), receives a briefing about the condition of an ICU patient in the AFTH. Colonel Jaso volunteered, for the second time, to step away from his successful general surgury practice in San Antonio to help heal servicemembers in Iraq. "The real heroes are those who defend our liberty with their flesh and bones," said Colonel Jaso. "All I can do in return is take care of them when they fall."
