Welcome to the USGS Fisheries: Aquatic and Endangered Resources Program The Fisheries: Aquatic and Endangered Resources Program (FAER) focuses on the study of aquatic organisms and aquatic habitats. Aquatic invertebrates, mussels, fishes, and their unique aquatic communities are investigated to provide scientific information to natural resource managers and decision makers. USGS works closely with its partners in Department of Interior Bureau's and other resource management agencies to provide scientific information to meet management needs. For instance, USGS provides fisheries research information for Fish and Wildlife Service to restore and enhance fish habitat and understand fish diseases. Fisheries Program's Research Topics
