Legal & Regulatory Context

In order to implement and sustain integration, some State and Federal laws and regulations will need to be adapted or changed.  This section will provide information on legal and regulatory issues and the goals and strategies that have been or could be used to overcome them.  Information will also be provided on strategies to achieve policy change through legislative initiatives.  An example of such a recent action is the act recently passed by the Colorado General Assembly:  Concerning the provision of Integrated Healthcare Services pursuant to the Colorado Medical Assistance Program.
