Remember...FOIA provides only for the release of records-it is not the appropriate vehicle to ask general questions of the agency. When you submit a FOIA request for FHWA documents (FOIA), you must:
make your request in writing and include your name, address, and a telephone number where we can reach you if we have questions about your request.
clearly indicate that you are making your request under FOIA.
reasonably, and specifically as possible, describe the documents you seek.
